DESIGN ENGINEERING

JUST SMARTER!

Often aircraft owners and operators are faced with the need of small changes to cabin layouts or avionic systems. It might also be required to upgrade an entertainment system or to replace aging interior components with contemporary technology. This is our world.

We know how to turn big wheels with minimum power.

Such projects often look like big and expensive wheels. We can gladly prove that big does not necessarily mean expensive, when aircraft, interiors and entertainment systems are modified.

Aircraft design engineering and certification requires highly-skilled people and the most advanced design and manufacturing techniques. Depending on the project we have design engineers at hand with the necessary expertise and experience. The additional advantage of a small and flexible organization reduces project cost and the time for decision making.

Rapid development in the sector of onboard information technology creates unprecedented potential for in-flight entertainment systems. Compared to earlier solutions, possibilities to combine entertainment and avionic systems or adapt them to existing installations have increased substantially.

Design Solutions

The how you design something is as important as what you want to achieve.

EXPERIENCE SINCE 1931!

When we took over the design organization of SR Technics, we acquired a piece of SWISSAIR dating back to 1931. With the foundation of the former Swiss national airline, the foundation stone was laid for an engineering department, which later became Swissair Technical Services and then SR Technics, serving Swissair and other carriers around the world.

Following the merger of SR Technics with the Danish FLS Aerospace, in 2009 SR Technics became an EASA approved design organization with additional locations in Ireland and Great Britain, performing mainly interior modifications on large aircraft.

With the transfer of the SR Technics Design (Engineering) Organization to groWING.aero in 2020, we have acquired a huge wealth of experience and an excellent team of experts which we are extremely proud of. Working from Belgrade, Dublin and Zurich our experts are providing Design Solutions to Lessors, Airlines and Industry Partners.

Talk to us - with a category 2A Design Organization we can provide nearly everything your heart may desire.

REPAIR SOLUTIONS

Often, in the absence of approved procedures, parts are scrapped unnecessarily.

REVIEW BEFORE SCRAPPING!

Often we see small damages on components, one part being broken on an expensive unit, but due to the absence of approved repair data, it is impossible to repair such components - scrapping is unavoidable. This does not have to be like this. We develop

  1. 01Component Repair Instructions
  2. 02Maintenance Procedures
  3. 03Piece Part Repair Data

Together with you as the owner or operator of such parts, we are able to reduce operational and maintenance cost on components. To us it doesn't matter whether the part is in operation and needs an on-wing repair or whether it is in the shop for repair or overhaul. With our Repair Solutions Program, we do have a solution in place that allows you to avoid scrapping capital.

Talk to us - we do want to look with you into possible repairs of expensive components rather than scrapping them.

MANAGING COMPLEXITY!

We do understand the functional-, logistical-, operational- and technical complexity of big modification projects. In one word Complexity is what big design projects are coming down to. This is our strength. groWING.aero is managing such complex design projects for many years, cooperating with Design Engineering companies and approved Design Organizations in Europe and worldwide. With the acquisition of SR Technics' EASA approved Design Organization in 2020, we have made the step to integrate the certification capability into our existing organization. Under our own EASA Design Organization Approval EASA.21J.771 we are able to provide you with Supplemental Type Certificates for Aircraft Major Modifications.

groWING.aero assumes also the responsibility for all previous SR Technics Design's as listed by EASA on the EASA website. We are looking forward to assisting you with any question and/or demand you may have in relation with these approved designs.

Talk to us - we are keen to develop new complex modifications for your aircraft together with you as lessor, operator and/or owner of an aircraft.
